Eurogroup Welcomes Simone – our new Partner Relations and Development Manager

15th January 2025

We’re thrilled to announce the newest addition to the Eurogroup team, Simone Percy, our Partner Relations and Development Manager. With an impressive career spanning multiple continents and vast experience in the removals and shipping industry, Simone is the perfect fit to help expand Eurogroup’s global reach. But it’s not just her extensive knowledge that sets her apart, Simone has lived the relocation experience firsthand, having moved countries eight times! Her understanding of the stresses and challenges of moving makes her the perfect person to join our team.

“We are excited to welcome Simone to our team as our new Partner Relations and Development Manager. With years of experience and a global network of strong relationships, Simone brings invaluable expertise that will help strengthen and expand our partnerships worldwide. We look forward to the positive impact she will have on our growth and success.” – Calvin Tickner, Co-Managing Director

Life around the world

Born in Liverpool, Simone left the UK at just six years old and has since lived a global life, starting in the Middle East. Over the years, Simone has lived and worked in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Muscat, Australia (where her daughter still lives), and Ireland. After more than two decades abroad, she has finally settled back in the UK. Having lived so many different lives around the world, Simone often finds the question “Where are you from?” nearly impossible to answer.

Her diverse background hasn’t just made Simone who she is, it’s shaped her perspective on the moving industry. With experience working in the UAE at her family’s business, Simone built a reputation for excellence and developed a well-rounded understanding of the global removals market. While she’s excited to be back in Europe, Simone still has strong ties to the Middle East, with her family still living in Dubai, where she will be spending Christmas with her son.

Experience that shows

Simone’s experience in the removals industry is just as diverse as her personal life. She’s worked for years with FIDI, contributing to their academy and training programs. Simone’s reputation is built on a deep understanding of the industry and a passion for helping people. She believes that no two moves are the same, as removals are really about the people and not their belongings.

Though Simone tried to stop working in shipping and removals, she admits that the industry had a way of pulling her back. Her passion for helping people with their moves has driven her to build a successful career in the industry. She’s thrilled to have the opportunity to represent Eurogroup on a global scale, working to expand the company’s reach and strengthen its presence within the FIDI network.

“Joining Eurogroup is a great opportunity for me. I’m excited to grow the agent side of the business, aiming to expand its global reach and influence beyond just the UK market.” – Simone Percy

Enjoying some personal time

When she’s not busy in the removals world, Simone is often out and about, walking, exploring, and soaking in the sights. Simone is always ready to get outdoors with a podcast in her ears, ready to explore her new home. Since returning to the UK, she’s been particularly eager to dive into the country’s rich history, which she feels is everywhere.

Simone has also had a constant love for dance, no matter where she’s lived, reflecting her broader passion for people and culture, which has always been a driving force in her career. Recently, she’s caught the Latin dance bug and is determined to perfect her Argentine tango this year. She’s also set her sights on learning swing dance, something she’s never tried before but is excited to explore.

Simone’s diverse life experiences and the many cultures she’s grown up with have shaped her both personally and professionally, allowing her to connect with others and maintain a global perspective. She knows exactly what it’s like to juggle the physical and emotional challenges of relocation, moving both as an individual and as a family with young children and dogs. Whether it’s dealing with the logistics of shipping or managing the stress of settling into a new country, Simone has lived through it all. The appointment of Simone as our Partner Relations and Development Manager is an exciting time for both Eurogroup, and Simone, as we continue to grow the business globally. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Simone on board, and look forward to seeing the amazing things she’ll achieve with us!
